About Us

It may come as no surprise, but the idea for DogStraps came about around a crackling campfire on a typical weekend summer camping trip. We're a small group of friends whose dogs tend to outnumber us, and we're always camping, hiking, skiing, biking, and exploring. We find ourselves without durable leashes, collars and gear. Often times, retired hiking ropes, old webbing or leashes were the tools we needed to keep our dogs under control. From this, we were born the original leash idea.

Our products are designed to fit anywhere and stand up to any test. For this reason, we offer a lifetime warranty on all of our products. This is why we started our business in the first place. We love designing and building reliable gear.

Rescue and adoption are also a big part of our lives. All of our fur babies are adopted from local shelters, and we want to encourage others to adopt their next best friend as well. Right now, thousands of homeless dogs are confined to shelters without families of their own. Think of all the campfire naps they miss out on!
